Cron / scheduled tasks monitoring
We watch that your scheduled background jobs (cron, queues, regular exports, backups, mailings) actually run on time and without errors. If a job did not start, failed or hung, you get an alert rather than finding out a week later from the consequences. Honestly upfront: this is control of the fact of execution and alerting, not running and not fixing jobs — running and fixing them is done by your system or team.
Cron / scheduled tasks monitoring — overview

Cron and scheduled tasks monitoring is an ongoing (monthly) service: for each important job we set up control on a 'signal of execution' principle (heartbeat / dead-man's switch) — the job marks itself on successful completion, and if the expected mark is missing in time (did not start, failed, runs longer than normal or hung), an alert arrives. This catches silent failures that otherwise surface only from consequences: a mailing did not go out, prices did not update, a backup was not made, a queue hung. Honestly about the essence: this is control of the fact and timing of execution and alerting, NOT running jobs and NOT fixing them — we do not run your jobs for you and do not fix a crashed script; setup and remediation are done by your team or by us separately. Honestly about the method: to see execution, a job must report itself — send a signal at the start/end or be observable in another agreed way; for this a small call usually needs to be added to the job (or an integration configured). Anything that does not signal and is not observable we cannot control. If a third-party heartbeat service is used for the control, it may have its own fee — we warn about that separately. False alarms are possible on legitimate schedule changes — we keep the thresholds and schedule current together with you. Coverage is only the connected jobs; someone must react to an alert. An important boundary: this is job-execution monitoring, not writing jobs, not the scheduler and not developing the jobs themselves. If you have one or two non-critical jobs, continuous monitoring may be overkill; it pays off where money and data depend on regular jobs (payments, backups, synchronizations). Picture this: instead of 'backups were not made for a week and it was discovered when they were needed' you get an alert on the very first missed run. The base price starts from 7,000 ₽ per month; it depends on the number of jobs and the integration complexity.
Problems we solve
- Background jobs sometimes silently do not run and you find out from consequences.
- You are not sure backups, exports and mailings actually run.
- A job may hang or run longer than normal, unnoticed.
- There is no single picture of which regular jobs are fine and which are not.
What's included in the Cron / scheduled tasks monitoring service
- Execution control by signal (heartbeat / dead-man's switch)
- Alerts: a job did not start, failed, hung or runs longer than normal
- Connecting important jobs (cron, queues, exports, backups, mailings)
- Thresholds on execution time and schedule
- Keeping the schedule and thresholds current by agreement
- A single picture of job status
- Monthly continuous operation
- An alert channel of your choice (email, messenger, webhook)
What you get
- You learn about a missed or failed job immediately
- You see which job and when did not run
- Lower risk of silently losing a backup, export or mailing
- You know where to investigate (running and fixing — by you/team)
How the work goes: steps
- We agree on the list of jobs, the expected schedule, thresholds and the alert channel
- We connect execution signals (a call in the job or an integration)
- We launch monitoring, keep the schedule current on changes
Why PDV Expert

FAQ
Will you run and fix my jobs?
No. We control the fact and timing of execution and notify of failures, but we do not run jobs for you and do not fix a crashed script. Running is done by your system/scheduler, remediation by your team or by us separately.
What is needed for you to see execution?
The job must report itself — send a signal at the start/end or be observable in an agreed way; usually a small call is added to the job or an integration is configured. Anything that does not signal cannot be controlled.
Will there be false alarms?
They are possible on legitimate schedule changes. So we keep the schedule and thresholds current together with you so real failures do not get lost in the noise.
