DAM implementation
DAM implementation is a single, organized media library: all photos, videos, layouts and brand materials in one place with search, versions and permissions. The end of “Final_final_2” folders and lost files.
DAM implementation — overview

DAM implementation (Digital Asset Management, based on Bynder or a similar tool) is a system for managing digital media assets: photos, videos, banners, layouts, logos and brand materials are stored in one place with a clear structure, tags, search, versions and access permissions. We set up the taxonomy (categories, tags, metadata), upload and migration of existing files, permissions for teams and contractors, versioning, distribution of files to the site and channels and control of brand standards. The point is for the file you need to be found in seconds rather than hunted across chats, drives and “Final_final_2” folders, and for the current, agreed version to be used everywhere. Unlike PIM (see the “PIM implementation” service), which stores product data (attributes, descriptions), DAM is responsible for the media files; the two are often implemented together — the PIM references images from the DAM. And it is not a CDN: a content delivery network (CDN) quickly serves the final files to site visitors, while a DAM is the working archive with search, versions and rights; they do not compete but complement each other. Importantly and honestly: DAM pays off at the scale of media. If you have a hundred photos and a couple of people on the team — a shared cloud folder (Google Drive, Dropbox) will do, and we will say so directly. DAM is needed when there are thousands of files, several teams and contractors work on them, and brand consistency, usage rights and versions matter. Also honestly about money: our work is the implementation; the platform itself costs separately. Bynder is an enterprise solution with a noticeable subscription; there are more affordable and open-source alternatives too — we will choose one for your budget and tasks. And about order without illusions: DAM gives structure and search, but it will not sort out the chaos for you automatically — search quality depends on the tags and metadata that someone has to assign; we set up rules and, where possible, auto-tagging, but the discipline of maintenance is kept up by the team. Picture this: a designer uploaded a new version of a banner — it was found by a tag in a couple of seconds, and the current file went to the site and the newsletter, not last year’s one. The base price starts from 130,000 ₽; it depends on the size of the media library, the number of teams and the integrations.
Problems we solve
- Files are scattered across drives, chats and computers — the one you need is hard to find.
- Outdated versions end up in use — an old logo or banner on the site.
- There is no control over image rights — you risk using something you have no license for.
- Contractors and teams breed “Final_final_2” duplicates — there is no single order or standard.

FAQ
How is a DAM different from an ordinary shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox)?
A folder stores files but does not give proper search by tags, version control, usage rights or brand standards. While there are few files, a folder is enough, and we will honestly talk you out of a DAM. When the media library has grown and several teams work on it, a folder turns into chaos, while a DAM brings order, search and control.
How much does the Bynder platform itself cost?
Separately from our implementation work. Bynder is an enterprise solution with a noticeable subscription; there are more budget-friendly and open-source alternatives too. What fits and how much it will cost depends on the volume of media, the number of users and the features needed; we will choose it for your situation.
Will the DAM put our files in order by itself?
A DAM gives structure, search and rules, but it will not tag everything retroactively by magic — search quality depends on the metadata. We help with the initial tagging and set up auto-tagging where possible, but beyond that the discipline of maintenance is kept up by the team; the system greatly eases it but does not replace it. There have been cases where a company implemented a DAM but six months later staff were again dumping everything into one folder — and the wasted time came back; that is why we build in maintenance rules and a media-library owner from the start.
