Domain expiry alerts

Domain expiry alerts is an ongoing (monthly) service: we regularly check the registration expiry date of your domains and warn in advance at several thresholds (e.g. 60, 30, 14, 7, 1 day) so you are sure to renew in time. Losing a domain is no small thing: the site stops opening, corporate email on that domain breaks, and once freed the domain can be registered by others (up to bad-faith buyouts), and getting it back can be expensive or impossible. So early and repeated reminders matter especially here. Honestly about the essence: this is watching the date and alerting, NOT renewing and NOT managing the domain — we do not renew the registration for you and do not manage your registrar account; our alert needs to be acted on and renewed (by you or by us by arrangement). Honestly about the data source: we take the expiry date from public WHOIS/RDAP data, and they have limitations — query rate limits, hiding of some fields due to privacy, and some domain zones return data in a limited way or with a delay. We partly compensate for that (several sources, re-checks), but the limits of the sources themselves cannot be overcome — rare delays or inaccuracies for some zones are possible. So for critical domains it is better to also enable auto-renewal at the registrar and keep our alerts as an independent backstop. Coverage is only the configured domains; new ones are added together with you. An important boundary: this is control of the domain registration date, not registrar services (renewal, DNS management, transfer) — those are handled by the registrar. Honest antisell: if you have a single domain with reliable auto-renewal, a separate service is probably redundant; it pays off when there are several domains or the cost of a mistake is high (email and services on the domain). Picture this: instead of "the domain quietly expired, the site and email went down, and the next week someone grabbed it" you get the first reminder two months ahead and calmly renew several years forward. The base price starts from 4,000 ₽ per month; it depends on the number of domains.

• Will you renew the domain if it is expiring?

  No. We watch the date and notify in advance, but we do not renew the registration and do not manage your registrar account. Our alert needs to be acted on and renewed — by you or by us by arrangement. For critical domains we recommend also enabling auto-renewal at the registrar.

• How accurate is the expiry date?

  We take it from public WHOIS/RDAP data. These have limitations: query rate limits, hiding of some fields due to privacy, and some zones return data in a limited way or with a delay. We account for that, but absolute accuracy for any zone cannot be guaranteed — so it is useful to keep our alerts as a backstop on top of auto-renewal.

• Are these registrar services?

  No. Renewal, DNS management and domain transfer are the registrar. Our service is independent control of the date and early reminders so you do not miss the deadline.
