Offline capabilities is setting up the app/PWA to work without constant internet: caching content and resources (via a service worker for web or local storage for apps), access to already-loaded data offline, queuing user actions, and clear 'no network' state indication. Honestly about the main limitation, this is key: 'offline' is NOT 'everything works without internet'. Offline gives access to what is cached or stored locally; but operations needing current data or the server (fresh prices/stock, payment, sending to the server, real-time authorization) will not work without the network — this is a natural limitation, not a shortcoming. We honestly distinguish what can really be done offline and what requires a connection. Honestly about sync and conflicts: when connection returns, accumulated offline changes need syncing, and here conflicts are possible (e.g. data changed both on the server and offline) — they must be deliberately resolved; background sync is an adjacent service (842).
