Prompt management
We set up prompt management in production: versioning, storage, testing and safe updating of your AI's prompts — to change model behavior without editing code, see history and roll back without breaking the product. Honestly upfront: prompt management is an OPERATIONAL layer (order and control over prompts), it does NOT improve the AI itself and does not make prompts good for you (their quality is prompt engineering 890); the benefit is real at scale and with several prompts but adds its own infrastructure and maintenance.
Prompt management — overview

Prompt management is infrastructure and a process for working with prompts in production: centralized storage, versioning (change history, rollback), separation of prompts and code (change behavior without a release), testing prompts before deployment, A/B of different versions, access rights. When there are many prompts and they change often, without this chaos begins (prompts are 'hardcoded', no one remembers what was changed and why, an edit quietly breaks something else). Honestly about the role, this is key: prompt management is an operational layer that brings order, NOT a way to improve AI. It does not make prompts good — wording quality is prompt engineering (890), and quality measurement is eval (899). It gives control, transparency and safety of prompt changes, but the AI itself does not get smarter from it. Honestly about 'needed at scale': for one simple prompt it is excessive. The benefit appears when there are several prompts, changed by different people, and versioning/rollback/tests matter. We will honestly say whether you need full prompt management or simple storage is enough for now. Honestly about the link and maintenance: it is part of LLMOps (898) and overlaps with eval (899); as infrastructure it requires support. Honestly about the effect: it reduces the risk of 'broke production with a prompt', speeds up safe changes and gives history — but output quality depends on the prompts and models themselves. Honestly about access: access to the AI application is needed. An important boundary: this is prompt management; prompt quality — prompt engineering 890; evaluation — eval 899; operation overall — LLMOps 898. Picture this: instead of 'prompts hardcoded, changed blindly' — versioned, testable prompts with rollback. The base price starts from 35,000 ₽ (depends on the number of prompts and integration).
Problems we solve
- Prompts are 'hardcoded', changing them is a release and a risk.
- No history: it is unclear what was changed in prompts and why.
- An edit of one prompt quietly breaks other behavior.
- There are many prompts, managed chaotically.
What's included in the Prompt management service
- Centralized storage and versioning of prompts
- Separation of prompts and code (changes without a release)
- Testing prompts before deployment, version rollback
- A/B of different prompt versions
- Access rights to prompts
- Honest boundaries (an operational layer; does not improve the AI itself)
- A link with prompt engineering (890), eval (899), LLMOps (898)
- Handover and review with you
What you get
- Versioned, testable prompts with rollback
- Changing AI behavior without editing code
- History and transparency of prompt changes
- Honest boundaries (order and control; quality is separate)
How the work goes: steps
- We assess the number of prompts and the need; collect access
- We set up storage, versioning, tests, rollback
- We honestly set boundaries (it is an operational layer) with you
Why PDV Expert
- Fixed price and timeline — no surprises on the invoice.
- Report and recommendations in plain language — clear without a technical background.
- In touch at every step and answering questions about the result.
FAQ
Will prompt management improve the AI's answer quality?
Not directly, honestly: it is an operational layer for order and control over prompts, not a way to improve AI. It does not make prompts good — wording quality is prompt engineering (890), measurement is eval (899). Prompt management gives versioning, tests, rollback and safe changes, but the AI itself does not get smarter from it. It is important not to confuse this.
Do I definitely need prompt management?
It depends on scale, and we will honestly assess. For one simple prompt it is excessive — simple storage is enough. The benefit appears when there are several prompts, changed by different people, and versioning, rollback and tests matter (so an edit does not break production). We will not push heavy infrastructure if your scale does not require it.
Is it the same as LLMOps?
It is part of the broader LLMOps (898). LLMOps is all AI operation in production (logs, quality/cost monitoring, alerts), while prompt management is specifically about versioning and safe prompt changes. They complement each other. We will honestly suggest whether you need only prompt management or fuller LLMOps.
