BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later)
BNPL is paying in installments on the site: we connect Klarna, Affirm, Подели and Долями (Russian BNPL providers) — the buyer splits the payment into parts, while you receive the full amount right away; the installment plan and the default risk are taken on by the provider.
BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) — overview

BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) is the connection of installment-payment services (Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay for the international market; Подели, Долями (Russian BNPL providers) and bank installment plans for Russia) to your website. At checkout the buyer chooses “pay in installments”, splits the amount into several payments, while you receive the full amount right away — the installment plan for the buyer is provided and serviced by the provider. We set up a widget on the product page and in the cart, passing the order to the service, statuses and linking to your system. The point is to raise conversion and the average order value: it is easier for a person to decide to buy if they can pay in parts at no interest to them. Importantly and honestly: the buyer is approved by the provider, not by you or us. BNPL is a credit product: the service checks the customer and may decline, so “pay in installments” is not available to every buyer, and one cannot promise “now everyone will buy”. Declines are common, especially for new or borderline customers. Conversion usually grows, but not guaranteed. Also honestly about money: you receive the full amount right away, but the provider’s BNPL fee is usually higher than ordinary card acquiring (often a few percent of the order versus a couple of percent on cards — the exact rates are set by the service) — that is the price for it taking on the installment plan and the default risk. Whether it is worth it depends on your margin and average order value; we will calculate together. And about applicability: BNPL works well at a mid-range order value (clothing, electronics, services), and at very cheap or, conversely, very expensive purchases and in B2B — usually not. If your case does not fit, we will honestly say so. And about region: the set of services differs for Russia and abroad, plus this is consumer credit with its own disclosure requirements — check the nuances with your lawyer. Picture this: a buyer sees “or 4 payments of…” on an expensive product, chooses it, checks out in a minute — and you receive full payment, while they pay the service in parts. The base price starts from 40,000 ₽ for connecting one service; it depends on the provider, the number of placement points and your system.

FAQ
Will BNPL really raise sales?
Usually conversion and the average order value grow — it is easier for people to decide when they can pay in parts. But one cannot guarantee “everyone will buy”: the buyer is approved by the provider through its own check, and it will decline some. Plus the effect depends on your product and order value. We will calculate whether it is worth it at your margin and will not promise miracles — BNPL is a tool, not a magic button.
Who bears the risk if a client does not pay the rest?
The provider. You receive the full amount right away, while the installment plan for the buyer is provided and serviced by the service — overdue and unpaid amounts are its concern, not yours. That is exactly what it takes a fee higher than ordinary card acquiring for (often a few percent of the order versus a couple of percent on cards — the exact rates are set by the service). So you pay for the risk and the installment plan not being on you — whether it is worth it, we calculate against your margin.
Is BNPL right for us?
It depends on the order value and the business. BNPL works well at a mid-range price — clothing, electronics, services, where the amount is noticeable but not extreme. On very cheap goods, on very expensive purchases and in B2B it is usually not needed. The set of services differs for Russia and abroad, and this is consumer credit with its own requirements — the nuances are worth checking with your lawyer. If your case does not fit, we will honestly talk you out of it.
