Error tracking setup

We set up error tracking for your site or app: JavaScript errors in users' browsers and/or backend errors land in one system — with the stack trace, frequency, affected users and release version. Then we run it with grouping and alerts so you see real errors rather than learning of them from complaints. Honestly upfront: this is collecting and alerting about errors, not fixing them — your team fixes the code; and we see only what is instrumented.

Error tracking setup — overview

Error tracking setup — price, timeline & scope

Error tracking setup is a service with an initial setup and monthly operation: we connect error collection (via an SDK/script on the frontend and/or backend), configure grouping of similar errors, tie-in to releases, context (browser, device, user steps), notifications about new and increasing errors. As a result, instead of 'something crashes sometimes' you see specific errors by priority: which one, how often, for how many users, from which release it started. Honestly about requirements: access to the code is needed to install the SDK; errors are collected through a third-party platform (such as Sentry and similar) with its event-volume limits and pricing — the platform cost is usually separate and depends on volume. Honestly about the essence: this is detection, grouping and alerting, NOT fixing — we show and prioritize errors, but remediation (editing the code) is done by your development team or by us separately. Honestly about coverage: we see only what is instrumented — errors in uninstrumented parts, in third-party widgets or those that do not reach the collector stay out of view; this is not a guarantee of 'we will catch everything'. Honestly about noise and privacy: at the start there are many errors and noise — grouping and filters need tuning (part of the operation); user data can land in stack traces and context, so we configure scrubbing of sensitive fields, and legal personal-data questions go to a lawyer. Coverage is the instrumented parts; someone must react to an alert. An important boundary: this is error-tracking setup and operation, not bug fixing, not APM (performance/traces — separate) and not a code audit. If the project is tiny and there are almost no errors, continuous tracking may be overkill. Picture this: instead of 'users complain a form sometimes does not submit and we cannot reproduce it' you see a specific JS error from a release 2 days ago for 8% of visitors on a certain browser. The base price starts from 15,000 ₽ per month (includes setup and monthly operation; the third-party platform cost is separate).

Problems we solve

  • Users complain about failures and you cannot reproduce and find the cause.
  • You do not know which errors actually occur for visitors and how often.
  • After a release something breaks, but it is unclear what and for whom.
  • Errors drown in logs, with no priority and context.

What's included in the Error tracking setup service

  • Connecting error collection (SDK/script frontend and/or backend)
  • Grouping of similar errors and tie-in to releases
  • Context: browser, device, user steps, frequency, reach
  • Notifications about new and increasing errors
  • Filter/noise-reduction setup (part of operation)
  • Scrubbing of sensitive data in stack traces
  • Monthly operation of the monitoring
  • An alert channel of your choice (email, messenger, webhook)

What you get

  • You see real errors by priority, not from complaints
  • You know which error, how often, for how many and from which release
  • You find and reproduce the problem faster
  • You have facts for the team to fix the bug (the fix — separately)

How the work goes: steps

  • We clarify the stack, goals and platform; collect access to the code
  • We install the SDK, configure grouping, releases, context, alerts, PD scrubbing
  • We launch operation, fine-tune filters against noise

FAQ

  • Will you fix the errors you find?

No. We detect, group and prioritize errors and notify, but editing the code is done by your development team or by us separately. Error tracking gives visibility and context, not the fix itself.

  • Will you catch all errors?

No. We see only what is instrumented: errors in uninstrumented parts, in third-party widgets or those that do not reach the collector stay out of view. This greatly increases visibility but is not a guarantee of 'we will catch everything'.

  • Is code access needed and will there be platform costs?

Yes, code access is needed to install the SDK. Errors are collected through a third-party platform (e.g. Sentry) with its limits and pricing — its cost is usually separate and depends on event volume; we warn in advance. User data can land in stack traces — we configure scrubbing, legal PD questions go to a lawyer.
