ESI (Edge Side Includes)

ESI is an engineering project: we mark the page into a cacheable base and dynamic fragments (ESI tags), configure the cache/proxy (Varnish or compatible) so the base is served from cache instantly while personalized parts are assembled separately with the needed freshness. Honestly about the conditions, this is key: ESI works only with support on the caching layer — Varnish or a compatible proxy/CDN with ESI is needed; on ordinary hosting without such a layer it is unavailable; we honestly check your infrastructure. Honestly about the niche: ESI is justified when a page is mostly static but has small personal inserts and high traffic; for most sites ordinary server/edge caching with exclusions (720/714) is simpler — we will not push ESI. Honestly about complexity and risk: it is a complex technique; wrong fragment markup/invalidation = stale or 'leaked' data; we test thoroughly. Honestly about the effect: for a fitting case the win is large and measurable (an almost fully cached page + fresh dynamic parts), but we do NOT guarantee sales growth by itself. Honestly about access: access to the server/proxy/code is needed. An important boundary: this is ESI, not server caching in general (720 — adjacent/often enough), not CDN edge cache (714) and not development. If there is no Varnish/compatible layer or the site does not fit the model, we honestly say you do not need ESI. Picture this: instead of 'the page is not cached because of one personal block' the whole base is served from cache and the cart/name are inserted separately. The base price starts from 18,000 ₽ per project; it depends on infrastructure and the number of fragments.
