Push notifications audit
We review your push notifications — in-app and web push: are the title and text clear, is the call to action appropriate, is permission requested correctly, do you send too often, do taps lead to the right place (deep link), are there obvious reasons for annoyance and opt-out. Honestly — this is a review of the content and setup of the notifications themselves: we find what reduces response and annoys users, but the audit by itself does not guarantee a rise in CTR, retention or sales.
Push notifications audit — overview

A push notifications audit is a one-time review of your notifications (mobile in-app push and web push in the browser) in terms of content, scenarios and setup: how and when permission to send notifications is requested (not bluntly on the very first screen — a common cause of mass refusal), whether the title, text and call to action are clear, whether the message gets cut off on different devices, whether the frequency and timing are appropriate, whether there is segmentation and trigger scenarios or everything is sent to everyone, whether taps work correctly (the deep link leads where it should), whether icons and images are used appropriately, whether notifications are easy to turn off, and whether there are signs of spam and annoyance. Honestly about the main point: this is diagnosis, not setup, not writing code and not sending the notifications for you; and it is not a guarantee of a rise in CTR, retention or sales. Push effectiveness depends not only on the text — also on the value of the product itself, the audience, the timing and the frequency. So the recommendations are reasoned hypotheses for A/B tests, not "we will raise open rate by X%". Separately on delivery: whether a push arrives depends on the provider (FCM on Android, APNs on iOS), token validity, the permission granted by the user and OS limits — this is beyond the message text; we check the message and the setup level and flag risks, but we do not guarantee delivery itself. It is a snapshot in time: platform and browser rules change. You get a report with prioritized problems and recommendations; the actual setup, code and sending are done separately or by your team. An important boundary: we review the notifications themselves and their scenarios, not the whole retention and CRM strategy — a cross-channel communications map, email flows and product analytics are a separate matter. Also honestly: without access to your push-sending system and real statistics, part of the review relies on submitted examples rather than live sends, and some issues visible only on real sends may remain out of view. If you do not send push yet or send one or two technical notifications, there is almost nothing to assess and you most likely do not need the audit. Picture this: instead of "no one reacts to push" you learn that you request permission bluntly at launch (so almost everyone refused), you send everyone the same thing three times a day, and a tap leads to the home screen instead of the right one. The base price starts from 8,000 ₽; it depends on the number of scenarios and platforms.
Problems we solve
- You send push but they are rarely opened and tapped.
- Almost all users refuse notifications right away.
- You do not understand whether you send too often or to the wrong people.
- A tap leads to the wrong place, or it is unclear how to turn them off.
What's included in the Push notifications audit service
- The permission request: when and how (causes of mass refusal)
- Clarity of the title, text and CTA; truncation on devices
- Frequency and timing, signs of annoyance and spam
- Segmentation and trigger scenarios (or one-to-all sending)
- Taps (the deep link leads where it should)
- Icons, images and ease of turning notifications off
- Delivery factors at the setup level (provider, tokens, permission)
- A prioritized report with hypotheses for A/B tests
What you get
- Clear understanding of what reduces response and triggers opt-out
- Priorities: what to improve in the text, frequency and scenarios first
- A check of the permission request and ease of turning off
- Understanding where the problem is in the notification and where in the product or audience
How the work goes: steps
- We clarify the platforms, scenarios, goals and collect push examples and access to statistics
- We analyze the content, frequency, segmentation, permissions and taps
- We prepare a report with priorities and hypotheses and review it with you

FAQ
Will push open rate and sales grow after the audit?
The audit itself does not raise them. Push effectiveness depends not only on the text but also on the value of the product, the audience, the timing and the frequency. We find the weak spots and give hypotheses, but what will work is verified by A/B tests; "+X% open rate" cannot be promised. Growth is possible only after you implement the improvements and test them — and even then it is not guaranteed.
Do you guarantee that the push will be delivered?
No. Delivery depends on the provider (FCM, APNs), token validity, the permission granted and OS limits — all beyond the notification text. We check the message and the setup level and flag risks, but we do not guarantee delivery itself.
Will you set up sending and write the code?
No, that is separate work. The audit gives diagnosis and hypotheses: what to improve and why. Setting up the push service, the code and the sending itself are a separate service (by us or by your team).
