Sitemap.xml change alerts is an ongoing (monthly) service: we regularly download your sitemap (including the sitemap index and nested files) and check its state, comparing against a fixed baseline. We control: whether the file is available and served with a correct code, whether the XML is valid per the sitemaps.org standard, whether the limits are exceeded (50,000 URLs / 50 MB per file), whether the URL count changed sharply (a sudden drop is a common sign of an export failure), whether the sitemap is stale (lastmod not updated for a long time), whether it contains broken or noindex URLs, and whether it is referenced in robots.txt. On a problem — an alert with details. Honestly about the essence: this is detection and alerting, NOT generation and NOT fixing the sitemap — we do not build the sitemap for you and do not fix the export; remediation is done by your CMS, developer or by us separately. And honestly about the sitemap itself: it is a hint to the search engine about which URLs exist, not a command to index them — a URL being in the sitemap does not guarantee getting into the index, let alone rankings; indexing is decided by the search engine. False positives are possible on your planned changes (you shortened the catalog yourself) — we update the baseline and thresholds by agreement. The base baseline and thresholds (the normal URL count, the list of sitemaps) are fixed during the initial setup together with you — without them there is nothing to compare against, so setup is a mandatory first step. Coverage is the configured sitemaps and domains; new ones are added together. Someone must react to an alert. An important boundary: this is control of the sitemap state, not its generation, not an SEO audit and not indexing management; there are separate alerts for robots.txt changes. If the site is tiny and static and the sitemap barely changes, continuous monitoring may be overkill. Picture this: instead of "half the catalog dropped from the index, and a month later it turned out the sitemap export broke and only 50 URLs were left instead of 5000" you get an alert on the day of the failure. The base price starts from 4,000 ₽ per month; it depends on the number of sitemaps and domains.

• Will you generate and fix the sitemap?

  No. We detect problems and notify, but we do not build the sitemap for you and do not fix the export. Generation and fixing are done by your CMS, developer or by us separately; our alert is there to catch a failure on the day it appears.

• If pages are in the sitemap, will they definitely be indexed?

  No. A sitemap is a hint to the search engine about which URLs exist, not a command to index them. A URL being in the sitemap does not guarantee getting into the index, let alone rankings — that is decided by the search engine. We only ensure the sitemap is healthy and complete.

• Will there be false alerts on our catalog edits?

  Your planned changes (e.g. you shortened the catalog yourself) will first show a divergence from the baseline — that is expected. We update the baseline and thresholds by agreement so real failures do not get lost in the noise.
