Uptime monitoring (multi-region)

We continuously check whether your site is reachable, from several regions — to tell a real outage apart from a local network glitch. The moment the site stops responding or returns an error, you get an alert. Honestly upfront: this is an ongoing service that detects downtime and notifies — it does not prevent outages, does not fix them and does not guarantee uninterrupted operation — that is the domain of hosting and your infrastructure.

Uptime monitoring (multi-region) — overview

Uptime monitoring (multi-region) — price, timeline & scope

Uptime monitoring is an ongoing (monthly) service: at a set frequency we check whether your site (or specific addresses) responds and whether the response is correct, doing it from several geographic regions. Multiple check points are needed to tell a real outage apart from a local network problem or a single data-center issue. On an outage, timeout or error response you immediately get an alert, and we can track recovery time too. We keep an uptime and incident history. Honestly about the essence: this is detection and alerting, NOT preventing downtime and NOT fixing it — we do not "keep the site online" and do not repair the server; uninterrupted operation is the responsibility of hosting, infrastructure and your team, while monitoring only reports the problem faster than you would learn it from customers. And honestly: we do not guarantee uptime — this is not a hosting SLA but an outside observer. An important limitation of the method: checks run at intervals, so a very short outage between two checks can be missed; the more frequent the checks, the lower the chance of missing one, but "catching everything down to the second" is not possible — for example, with a check every 5 minutes a one-minute outage may go unnoticed; more frequent checks cost more, and we agree on this balance. False positives are also possible (brief network glitches, a problem in the check point's own region) — so we use several regions and confirmation before an alert. Coverage is only the configured addresses/endpoints. Someone must react to an alert, otherwise the value is lost. An important boundary: this is outside-in availability monitoring, not hosting, not server support and not an uptime guarantee (SLA). If the site is non-commercial and simple and downtime causes no losses, continuous monitoring may be overkill. Picture this: instead of "customers write that the site has been down for an hour and you have no idea" you get an alert a minute after the outage, see that the unavailability was confirmed from three regions, and start investigating right away. The base price starts from 5,000 ₽ per month; it depends on the number of addresses and the check frequency.

Problems we solve

  • You learn about an outage from customers rather than first.
  • You cannot tell a real outage from a local network glitch.
  • There is no downtime history to hold hosting accountable.
  • The site goes down periodically, but it is unclear how often and for how long.

What's included in the Uptime monitoring (multi-region) service

  • Regular availability checks from several regions
  • Checking the response code and basic correctness (not just "it opened")
  • Confirmation from several points before an alert (fewer false positives)
  • Alerts on outage, timeout and error response
  • Uptime and incident history, recovery time
  • Monitoring of the configured addresses and endpoints
  • Monthly continuous operation of the check
  • An alert channel of your choice (email, messenger, webhook, SMS by arrangement)

What you get

  • You learn about an outage first, not from customers
  • You know whether it is a real outage or a local glitch
  • There is a downtime history — grounds for a conversation with hosting
  • You start remediating faster (the remediation itself — separately)

How the work goes: steps

  • We agree on the addresses, check frequency, regions and the alert channel
  • We set up checks from several regions and confirmation before an alert
  • We launch continuous monitoring, keep the history, tune against false positives

FAQ

  • Do you guarantee the site will not go down?

No. Availability monitoring detects an outage and notifies, but does not prevent it and does not fix it. Uninterrupted operation is the responsibility of hosting, infrastructure and your team; we only report the problem faster. This is not a hosting SLA but an independent observer.

  • Will you catch any outage, even a one-second one?

Not guaranteed. Checks run at intervals, so a very short outage between checks can be missed. The higher the frequency, the lower the chance of missing one, but catching "everything down to the second" is not possible. On the other hand, several regions reduce false positives.

  • Is this a subscription or a one-time setup?

An ongoing service with monthly billing: we set it up once, then checks run continuously and send alerts with history. A one-time availability check makes little sense — the value is in the continuity.
