Web vitals monitoring (RUM)

Web vitals monitoring (RUM) is an ongoing (monthly) service with an initial setup: we connect collection of field Core Web Vitals from real users (via the web-vitals library and/or a RUM service), set up breakdown by pages, devices, countries, sources, a dashboard and alerts on worsening. Honestly about the essence, this is key: RUM MEASURES and ALERTS but does NOT improve the metrics by itself — it shows where and for whom it is slow, while optimization (706 etc.) is separate work; someone must react to a regression alert. Honestly about field vs lab: field data (real users) differs from lab (Lighthouse) and varies — that is its value (the truth about real experience) but also the reason for 'noise'; sufficient traffic is needed, otherwise there is little data and conclusions are premature. Honestly about data/privacy: collecting metrics from users' devices is data; consent/a policy per your requirements are needed (legal assessment — with a lawyer); RUM services (if paid) — separately. Honestly about the effect: monitoring helps catch regressions early (after releases, new content, third-party scripts), but we do NOT guarantee position/sales growth by itself. Honestly about access: access to code/analytics is needed. An important boundary: this is CWV monitoring (RUM), not CWV optimization (706 — separate, fixes) and not synthetic monitoring (731 — scheduled lab checks). If traffic is low, RUM is uninformative. Picture this: instead of 'learning of a speed drop from complaints or Search Console weeks later' you see a regression on the day it appears, by real users. The base price starts from 12,000 ₽ per month; it depends on the number of metrics/segments and the service.

• Will RUM monitoring speed up my site?

  No. RUM measures and alerts but does not improve speed by itself. It shows where and for whom it is slow so you react in time; the speedup itself is optimization (a separate service). A regression alert needs a reaction.

• How is field data different from Lighthouse?

  RUM is real users (their devices/networks), Lighthouse is a lab test. The field reflects real experience more accurately but varies and needs sufficient traffic; on low traffic there is little data and conclusions are premature.

• Is it a one-off service?

  No, it is ongoing (monthly) monitoring with setup — metrics change over time, regressions appear after releases and new scripts. A one-off optimization without monitoring 'goes stale' over time.
