DMP setup
We set up a DMP — a platform for managing anonymized audience data (segments by cookies and IDs) for ad targeting. Honestly — this is a declining technology: third-party cookies are being switched off, so for most businesses first-party data (see CDP) is more reliable today, and we will say plainly if a DMP is no longer needed for you.
DMP setup — overview

A DMP (Data Management Platform) is a platform for collecting and managing anonymized (anonymous) audience data: user segments by cookies, ad IDs and third-party data for ad targeting and ad analytics. We set up segment collection, integration with ad systems and DSPs, audience exchange and passing into ad accounts. Honestly and importantly about the main point: the classic DMP model is fading. It is built on third-party cookies, and those are being switched off: Safari and Firefox already block them, Chrome is winding down support; privacy is tightening at the same time. So a DMP on third-party data loses reach and accuracy, and investing in it "for the future" in the 2020s is risky. For most businesses it is now more reliable to work with first-party data — that is closer to a CDP (unifying known customers, see the neighbor service), not a DMP. A DMP operates on anonymized segments, not your specific customers: it is a tool for ad targeting, not for personal communications. The quality of third-party segments varies: the accuracy of "interests" and demographics in third-party data is often low, test it. Availability: many classic DMPs were Western and are limited in the RF; for the Russian market Yandex and VK audience tools are closer — we will pick for your situation. Audience data is also regulated (152-FZ, anonymization and consent requirements) — the legal side is on you. The platform is a subscription/data fee, your cost; our price is for the setup. Where a DMP is still justified: large advertisers with big budgets, federated data and Data Clean Rooms, ad alliances — such projects are possible but need a separate expert assessment. If you have no large ad budgets and no need to exchange anonymized audiences, a DMP is most likely not for you; we will honestly suggest the first-party route. Legally important: foreign DMPs often cannot be brought into compliance with 152-FZ (no in-country data localization), and anonymization and consent for transfer to third parties are on you — this must be checked before launch. Picture this: instead of betting on disappearing third-party cookies, you build your own audience and work with it directly — more sustainable and within the law. The base price starts from 45,000 ₽; it depends on the platform, sources and integrations.

FAQ
Isn’t a DMP becoming obsolete as cookies are switched off?
Largely yes, and we honestly admit it. A classic DMP on third-party cookies loses reach: Safari and Firefox already block them, Chrome is winding down support. So investing in a DMP "for the future" is risky — for most, first-party data is more reliable today. We will set up a DMP if you really need it, but more often it is honest to suggest the first-party route.
How is a DMP different from a CDP?
A DMP works with anonymized audience segments (cookies, ad IDs) for ad targeting — not your specific customers. A CDP unifies your known customers into profiles for personal communications. If the task is to work with your own base, you need a CDP rather than a DMP; we will advise for your goal.
Does a DMP work in Russia?
Many classic DMPs were Western and are limited or unavailable in the RF. For the Russian market Yandex and VK audience tools are closer. Audience data is regulated (152-FZ, anonymization, consent) — the legal side is on you. We will pick what actually works for your audience and is legal.
