Push notifications

We connect web push (in the browser) and mobile push (in the app) via OneSignal, FCM or APNs: bringing a visitor back without their email or phone. Honestly about reach — a push reaches only those who allowed notifications themselves and did not unsubscribe, and on iPhone web push works with caveats.

Push notifications — overview

Push notifications — price, timeline & scope

Push notifications are short messages that reach the user in the browser or in a mobile app, even when the site is not open. We connect web push (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and others) and/or in-app push via OneSignal, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) or Apple Push (APNs). We set up the permission prompt at the right moment (not head-on at entry — that yields more opt-ins), segments, triggered scenarios (abandoned cart, order status, win-back of long-absent users), scheduling, A/B of headlines, delivery and click analytics, frequency caps and unsubscribe. Honestly about the main point: push is a consent channel. It reaches only those who tapped “Allow” in the browser or app and did not revoke it; you cannot force a subscription, and a share of the audience will decline. Delivery is ultimately decided by Apple and Google push servers, not us: with the device off or permission revoked the message will not arrive. Separately about iPhone: web push in Safari works only on iOS 16.4 and newer and only if the site is added to the home screen as an app (PWA); in a regular Safari tab there is none. In a native app, push on iOS works normally via APNs. The service itself (for example, OneSignal) is usually free to start but charges at high volume and for advanced features — that is your cost; our price is for the integration and setup, and it covers the base scenario, while complex custom logic and integrations are quoted separately. Important: the service is a third-party platform, and its tariffs, limits and rules (up to account suspension over violations or mass complaints) are on the provider’s side, which we do not control. You are responsible for user consent and the legal handling of data (152-FZ; for a foreign audience — GDPR) — we set up a correct permission prompt and unsubscribe, but the legal side is on you. And honestly about the boundary with neighbor channels: push usually has a smaller base than email (it needs a separate opt-in in the browser or app), so push does not replace email for important messages like a receipt or a contract, and it is not as “direct” as SMS — it is a fast additional return channel, not the main one. If you have few repeat visits or cold one-off traffic, push will yield little — sometimes it is more honest to invest in email or retargeting, and we will say so. Picture this: a visitor put an item in the cart and left — an hour later a short reminder with a link back to the cart arrives in their browser, and a share of such orders gets completed. The base price starts from 25,000 ₽; it depends on the platforms (web / app), the scenarios and your stack.

Problems we solve

  • A visitor left and did not return, and you have no email or phone for them.
  • Abandoned carts are not reminded — orders are lost.
  • Promotions and news do not reach those not subscribed to email.
  • There is no channel to quickly win back long-absent customers.

FAQ

  • Will a push reach all visitors?

No. A push reaches only those who tapped “Allow” in the browser or app and did not unsubscribe — you cannot force a subscription, and some people will decline. Delivery is ultimately decided by Apple and Google servers: with the device off or permission revoked the message will not arrive. We maximize opt-ins with a careful prompt, but 100% reach does not exist.

  • Does push work on iPhone?

In an app — yes, via Apple Push (APNs). Web push in Safari — only on iOS 16.4 and newer and only if the site is added to the home screen as an app (PWA); in a regular Safari tab there is none. On Android and in desktop browsers web push works normally. This is an Apple limitation, not our setup.

  • Will push turn into spam?

If you send often and without point — yes, people will unsubscribe. That is why we set frequency caps, segments and event triggers (not “to everyone”), plus an easy unsubscribe. Push is valuable when the message is relevant and rare; on cold one-off traffic it yields little — we will honestly say so if that is the case.
