Service Blueprints

We build a service blueprint — a service map that links what the client sees (front stage) with what happens 'behind the scenes': processes, systems, people supporting each step. So you see where internal processes break the client experience. Honestly upfront: a blueprint is built on real data about your processes (not guesses); it SHOWS gaps between the client experience and internal work but does not eliminate them by itself — it is diagnostics for subsequent changes, not their implementation; and it is a model/simplification, not an exact description of all variants.

Service Blueprints — overview

Service Blueprints — price, timeline & scope

A service blueprint is an extension of the customer journey map (CJM 946) into depth: besides the client's actions and emotions (front stage), the map shows what enables the experience 'behind the scenes' (back stage): employees, internal processes, systems, front-back interaction points, lines of visibility. It helps understand WHY a client faces a problem — often the cause is in internal processes. Honestly about reliance on data: a useful blueprint is built on real understanding of your processes (team interviews, observation, data), not guesses about how it 'should work'. A drawn idealized scheme that does not reflect reality misleads. We map as-is, not as it seems. Honestly about 'shows, does not solve': the blueprint identifies gaps and bottlenecks (where an internal process breaks the client experience) but does not eliminate them by itself — it is diagnostics and a basis for process/system changes that then need implementing. Seeing a problem ≠ fixing it. Honestly about 'a model, not reality': a blueprint simplifies and generalizes; real processes are more complex and variable. It is a useful map for understanding and alignment, not an exhaustive technical description of every case. Honestly about the effect: it links the client experience with internal processes and helps find root causes of problems, but it is an analysis tool, not an improvement guarantee (improvement is up to implementing changes). Honestly about access: process data and access to the team are needed. An important boundary: this is a service blueprint (front+back); CJM (only the client path) — 946; research — 943. Picture this: instead of 'the client complains and the cause is unclear' — a map showing which internal process breaks the experience. The base price starts from 35,000 ₽ (depends on service complexity).

Problems we solve

  • The client faces problems, but the internal cause is unclear.
  • Front and back processes are not aligned — the experience breaks.
  • It is unclear which internal steps affect the client.
  • Problems are treated on the surface, not touching the root cause.

What's included in the Service Blueprints service

  • A map of the front stage (client) and back stage (processes/systems/people)
  • Lines of visibility and front↔back interaction points
  • Identifying gaps: where the internal breaks the client experience
  • Reliance on real processes (interviews/observation/data)
  • Honest boundaries (shows, does not solve; a model; on data)
  • A link with CJM (946) and research (943)
  • A basis for process changes
  • Handover and review with you

What you get

  • A service map: client experience + internal processes
  • Root causes of client problems are visible
  • Alignment of front and back
  • Honest boundaries (diagnostics; changes — implement separately)

How the work goes: steps

  • We collect process data (interviews/observation); map as-is
  • We identify front↔back gaps and bottlenecks
  • We hand over the blueprint, honestly set boundaries (shows, does not solve)

Why PDV Expert

  • Fixed price and timeline — no surprises on the invoice.
  • Report and recommendations in plain language — clear without a technical background.
  • In touch at every step and answering questions about the result.

FAQ

  • Will a service blueprint fix the process problems by itself?

No, honestly: a blueprint identifies gaps and bottlenecks (where an internal process breaks the client experience) but does not eliminate them by itself. It is diagnostics and a basis for process/system changes that then need implementing. Seeing a problem ≠ fixing it. We give a map of root causes and priorities, while implementing changes is the next step (we can help).

  • Can a blueprint be built on how it 'should work'?

Better not, honestly: an idealized scheme that does not reflect reality misleads. A useful blueprint is built on real understanding of processes (team interviews, observation, data) — we map as-is, not as it seems. Only that way are the real gaps visible. A 'how it should be' map is already a target state, a separate step after diagnosing the real one.

  • Does a blueprint describe all process variants?

Not all, honestly: a blueprint is a model that simplifies and generalizes. Real processes are more complex and variable, there are exceptions. It is a useful map for understanding and team alignment, not an exhaustive technical description of every case. We honestly state which main service scenario is mapped and where branching is possible.
